If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this probably isn’t your stop — but if you want bold style, quirky rooms, and a stay that reflects the city’s vibrant spirit, you’re in the right place. Situated in one of NOLA’s liveliest neighborhoods, The Hard Sell Hotel offers uniquely themed rooms like the Pink Cowboy, Retro Camper Van, Sputnik, Atomic Family, Studio 504, and Sazerac — each with its own personality and charm. With shared spaces including full bathrooms, a kitchen, and laundry, this is more than a place to sleep — it’s your launchpad for unforgettable New Orleans adventures. Ready to book your room and dive into the city’s culture, music, and nightlife?
The Pink Cowboy Room at the Hard Sell Hotel offers everything you need for your stay; as long as all you need is a windowless cave with a comfortable bed. Bonus features include 100% vegan ranch decorations, adjustable overhead lighting, bluetooth record player, roll top desk, mini fridge & smart TV. Whether you need to get some work done or you’d rather enjoy the New Orleans night life and sleep in the next day, this room has got you covered.
The Retro Camper Van Room at the Hard Sell Hotel comes loaded with all the bells & whistles plus a side of nostalgia. This baby comes standard with a queen-size bed surrounded & covered with super soft shag. The hand painted retro stripes will take you back to the days when gas was $0.31/gallon. Front row bench seating, or couch, with plenty of leg room. Beaded curtains, Bluetooth record player, smart TV & mini fridge are a perfect mix of that vintage feel and modern comfort.
Dust off your platform shoes & come boogie down in the Studio 504 room at the Hard Sell Hotel. Funky fixtures, record player & lots of other far out amenities, ya dig? After dark, you can mellow the vibe with the slow rotating disco ball or just enjoy a hot tea in a cozy armchair. The Studio 504 room is the perfect place to get the party started or crash afterward. Peace, love & granola!
Sunrise to sunset, this king sized room features hand painted super graphics to accent all the funky amenities. Sputnik light fixture, comfy mid century modern lounge chairs with ottomans, vintage armoire, cat clock & more! The bluetooth record player, smart TV & bohemian style living room are a perfect mix of that vintage feel and modern comfort.
The Sazerac Room at the Hard Sell Hotel is as loud & vibrant as the neighborhood itself! Named after a traditional New Orleans cocktail, this room follows a similar recipe: 2 parts Party, 1 part Sweet, a dash of bitter & a hallucinogenic rinse (Look it up). The bed is comfy, the record player works & the blackout curtains are top notch. Relax to the soundtrack of the Marigny or come on down & join the fun!
The Atomic Family room at the Hard Sell Hotel captures design elements from the 1940’s all the way to the future. A subtle balance between a bomb shelter and the Jetsons. This no window room is perfect for people who enjoy their privacy and hate the sun. Hand built furniture and fixtures, soft shag rug, adjustable overhead lighting, bluetooth record player, mini fridge & smart TV are a perfect mix of that vintage feel and modern comfort.
The Hard Sell Hotel offers hybrid hotel style accommodations with private sleeping quarters & shared common areas. Each bedroom is accessible with a unique coded pad lock for your safety & privacy. Common areas include 4 individual bathrooms (all with sinks, two with toilets, two with showers), fully stocked kitchen, and guest laundry area. Outdoor roof patio coming soon!
All rooms include queen bed (king in Sputnik), sitting area, TV with Roku, heating/AC, fans, mini-fridge, record player, towels and toiletries. While most of our guests have no complaints, we want to be very clear that our hostel is above a busy restaurant and next to a late-night bar. The night life in this area is loud and vibrant, especially on the weekends or during festival season. Ear plugs are provided and we encourage you to utilize the Bluetooth record player as a white noise machine.
PARKING: The neighborhood is first come/first serve, free street parking without time constraints. You won’t need to move your car for street cleaning, etc.

Erica was great with communication and anything we needed. We ran into no issues with having to wait for toilet rooms or showers. Everything was very clean. It may be a bit loud outside for some but we sleep like rocks and didnt bother us. Also, it will be loud in most places around town! Thank you Erica and Hard Sell Hotel. We would 100% stay here again.Posted on Google Jeffrey ThomasTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I cannot rave enough about this place. It was comfortable, clean, and in SUCH a perfect location to just walk everywhere! I know it was next to a karaoke bar but the hosts let me know ahead of time and even provided earplugs! Honestly I didn't even hear the bar, but I did stop in and sing a few songs during my stay! The pasta shop right nearby was also delicious AND there is a grocery store right down the street!! Overall such a great stay and I'm so excited to come back!!!Posted on Google Maria KTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have stayed here so many times, and it's always fabulous! I love that every room is different and has fun decor. The rooms are cozy, the beds are comfortable, and everything is always so clean! Bathrooms and the kitchen are also well-stocked with everything you could ever need. Easy walk to the French Quarter, but there is so much to see and do just outside the door. The restaurant downstairs is delicious, and there are also a variety of bars nearby.Posted on Google Elise ConstantinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very convenient place to stay if you are going to a show and just need a bed for the night. Everything was very clean and cozy. Parking is on the street and you might have to drive around the block to find a spot. We didn't have any issues.Posted on Google Cailey KTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely AMAZING place!!! The rooms are fabulous- we had a record player (with bluetooth) complimentary alcohol, and amazing decor. The kitchen is fully stocked with spices and equipment. There’s even a cool rooftop attached. Bathrooms very clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Location is walkable to all main spots. Would come back just to stay here again. My buddy and I stayed for 10 days and we will come back for sure. Erica is awesome, the rooms are super cute and very funky. The place was immaculately clean, with a nice rooftop you can chill on. There is noise, which only really bothered me one day when it was super loud on a Friday. The rest of the time we were out, or it was within reason. It's a stone's throw from Frenchmen, great coffee, deadly food, highly recommend.Posted on Google Kristin MattickTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great stay here with family and friends over Superbowl weekend 2025! The place is set up as a hostel with 6 separate retro themed rooms, 2 toilets, 2 showers, and a well appointed kitchen. I rented out all of the bedrooms, so my experience was a bit different than those who may just be renting individual rooms. The bedrooms were really nice, my guests and I enjoyed the themed decorations. Everything was clean and well stocked. Erica and Mowgli were fantastic hosts! As their ads state, this is next to a late-night karaoke bar, which is loud. I didn't mind at all, but I could see how that could be an issue for some guests. Ear plugs are provided, but my guests and I didn't need them. The front entrance has stairs, so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues. I would definitely stay here again and rent out all the rooms like I did before.Posted on Google Google rating score: 5.0 of 5,
